Beginners and experienced artists are welcome.
We are a large group and we occupy two rooms in the Council Building. We bring along our own materials and do our own artwork in a supportive and non-judgemental environment. We do have a small stock of art books and materials, along with an easel, some writing slopes, a lightbox and a mount cutter. We have some ’teach yourself’ books for beginners or for specific genres.

We occasionally host workshops by visiting artists and we recently paid a visit to Cannon Hall Walled Garden where we did a workshop with Louise Ann Wright a local artist who makes her own pigments from plants and other natural materials. Individual members of the group sometimes offer a workshop in an area of expertise or on a particular topic

There is an opportunity for members to exhibit their work in the exhibitions which are mounted in the Council Building by Village Art
