The Skelmanthorpe and district Photography group started in 2022. It currently has nine members but would welcome more. If you are interested please visit us at the U3A website: https://skelmanthorpe.u3asite.uk/groups/ . We are about taking photographs. So we try to go and do just that every Wednesday afternoon weather permitting. Visits take place to a variety of venues to photograph a variety of topics from landscape to abstract. Activities are co-ordinated via WhatsApp and on the last Wednesday of the month we meet face to face at one of the local cafes or on Zoom.

Members have a range of expertise from beginners to seasoned enthusiastic amateur photographers and use a variety of camera equipment from mobile phones to top of the range mirrorless cameras. So on outings and in meetings there are a host of members ready to offer guidance or constructive critique of images if asked. First and foremost we enjoy photography!
